The city of Los Altos, CA has served as witness to major milestones in internet high technology. The house where Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne built Apple, Inc is located in Los Altos. So is the
Adobe Creek, which runs behind several homes in the area; two of which were once occupied by John Warnock and Charles Geschke, founders of computer imaging giant Adobe Systems. Despite being so deeply connected to the development of Silicon Valley over the years, Los Altos has managed to remain largely un-commercialized and “rural” in nature. In fact, sidewalks in Los Altos are largely limited to the
area’s “commercial zone” in the downtown Los Altos area. The reasons for this are largely due to the fact that it is what the voters of the city have expressed as their collective wish; that they would prefer the town remain “rural” instead of become another Silicon Valley mini metropolis.
Despite not embracing the Silicon Valley with as much enthusiasm as neighboring cities like Mountain View and Cupertino, Los Altos is not without the benefits that the Silicon Valley has to offer. The city is close enough to major employers, including Apple and Google, that residents often choose to commute to work from Los Altos every day. When anyone rents in Los Altos, they rent a space in a small “rural” town that’s only a short distance from the “big” cities of Silicon Valley. And there are always people looking for a place to rent in Los Altos.
Owners of property in Los Altos should never let it sit vacant for too long because there’s so much money that can be made by filling it with renters and charging them to live there. There are many reasons why a
homeowner may let their Los Altos property sit for so long without a family living in it. They could be overwhelmed by the idea of managing their own space, they might have repairs that need to be made
but have no idea where to start, or they might think that hiring somebody to manage the property on their behalf would be too expensive. No matter what their concerns, talking to a professional Los Altos property management firm can alleviate many to all of them.
When they hire a Los Altos property management firm, owners partner with management professionals who take the task of property management and flip the switch to cruise control. Once they partner with a
company, property owners need only sit back, relax, and watch the rent checks come in. When people don’t pay their rent, the management company will act as collector, when people refuse to move out, the
management company will act as a lawyer (many large management companies have their own attorneys on staff), and when people have rent to pay, the management company will act as accountant. Plus, there’s absolutely no risk to partnering with most management companies because most will only collect a small portion of rent paid as their fee. If the rent isn't paid, then neither are the managers,
and that’s when they spring into action to represent the best interests of their owners as quickly as possible.
